Best Hikes of 2019

2019 was an amazing year of travel, even more so for adventures in the outdoors. With our adventures came many, many good hikes that I can’t wait to (try to) beat in 2020. Here are some of my favorites!

Three Sisters Falls // Southern California

I think the was the most intense “reverse” hike I’ve ever done. We hiked down this valley surrounded by high peaks and finally saw a waterfall in the distance. A few more miles later, we arrived at Three Sisters Falls with the most remarkable views!

Quite possibly my favorite part of this hike was when arrived and rested… and realized we could slide DOWN the waterfall! While I was totally terrified at first, I am so glad I did it. If you’re in Southern California, even if this is a little out of your way, this is a can’t-miss hike.

Chapel Rock // Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore

On a family vacation, we challenged ourselves to a longer hike in the UP of Michigan. While there were some spots you could see the Pictured Rocks lakeshore by driving, a lot of the good views came from hikes. We were blown away by this hike that ended at the bright blue shore of Lake Superior!

Jenny Lake // Grand Tetons National Park

On one of our first few days at Grand Teton National Park, we took a ferry across Jenny Lake to the other side for a hike up to Inspiration Point. I don’t even think I was believing what my eyes were seeing on this hike. Mountains always blow me away, but the Tetons are something else. And the beautiful views of the lake topped it off! Though it’s a heavily trafficked trail, it’s totally worth it and lives up to the hype. Plus, it didn’t take us all day which was nice!

Any recommendations for hikes for me in 2020? Let me know!
